What is a Coolant Temperature Sensor?
The Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) monitors the temperature of the engine coolant in ICE vehicles and the battery coolant in hybrids/EVs. This information is sent to the ECU to manage fuel injection, ignition timing, and cooling fans, preventing overheating and ensuring efficient thermal management.
